How do you use this Death in the Box guides map?

Use this hub as a map. Each child guide answers one search, then points sideways so you do not reread the same loop five times.

FAQ

Death in the Box guide questions

What are you trying to do in a match?

Be the last player alive. Up to 15 other players sit at the table with you while the clown runs events and hands out cards. The official description calls the game a mix of luck and strategy, so a correct read does not guarantee the next shot.

Is Safety the same card as Shield?

The current card name in the card references is Safety: if the clown shoots you while you hold it, the card breaks and you survive. The Still standing badge still says shield card. Older write-ups also say Shield. Read the card in your hand if a later update renames it again.

Why did my card do nothing?

Active cards fire on their own trigger, Passive cards work while you hold them, and only Activation cards use the Use Card control. Blank does not apply in duels, and a printed Blank example also excludes PVP events. Vengeance is also described as not working during duels, a stab, or hostage. A turn counter can expire the card before you needed it.

Do the 15% group bonus and 25% Premium bonus add up to 40%?

No published formula says that. The game description advertises both bonuses separately and does not explain whether they stack. Do not add the two percentages together.

Can I still open the old cave or claim the Disco Ball?

The cave hatch's old opening is described as disabled, and the Disco Ball character effect is described as unobtainable. The 2025 Halloween Suspicious Mushroom display is also described as unobtainable. An old video can show a real past route that no longer opens.
